Looks easy at first. But damn, so many small parts.
Anyway, I started working on this model around the time when the new Star Wars movie came out. So much hype around the movie that I even fully got caught in its web of media hype. Other models that I got along the way includes Storm Trooper, R2D2, BB8, C3PO, X-Wing and a few more. It actually wasn't very hard but I wanted to make it look authentic. Thus, I spend a lot and I mean "A Lot" of time doing the the "weathering" to the Falcon. Trying to make it look worn and old like the one in the movie. The fact that I don't have an airbrush led me to being a bit creative. I'm sure other fellow modeler have done this before. I used a mechanical pencil with the darkest (2B) and thinnest (0.3) that I can find to draw lines after lines after lines on the ship. Then I graduated to using EE pencil and finally got around to using Panel liner from Mr Hobby. The combination of the efforts is actually very good. Check out my final shot.
